Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Tickgate platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Platform is operated by Multixers Technology (Registration No.: 202603017629 (003813923-W)). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are using the Platform under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
If you are registering as an event organiser and are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must oversee all event activities, payment collection, and any obligations arising from your use of the Platform.
3. Use of the Platform
Tickgate provides an event ticketing platform. You may browse events, purchase tickets, and use related features in accordance with these terms and any event-specific terms set by the organiser. You sign in with a code sent to your email or with Google, so you are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
4. Tickets and Orders
Ticket purchases are subject to availability and the terms set by the event organiser. By completing a purchase, you agree to the pricing, refund policy, and event terms displayed at the time of purchase. We do not guarantee the accuracy of event details provided by organisers.
4a. Using Your Tickets
How a ticket is used — admission, scanning at the door, whether it may be transferred or resold, and what identification is asked for — is decided by the event organiser, not by Tickgate.
Your ticket's QR code, and any link you share to it, may be all that is needed to get in. Keep them to yourself and the people you mean them for. Tickgate is not responsible for a ticket used by someone you shared it with, or refused under the organiser's rules.
5. Payments
Payments are processed through our designated payment providers. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorise charges for orders you place. All fees and currency are as displayed at checkout.
Where you pay online — for example by FPX — Tickgate collects that payment from you on the organiser's behalf. Paying us discharges what you owe the organiser for that ticket, and we settle with them separately. Where an organiser takes payment by their own QR code instead, we collect nothing and hold nothing — see clause 5a.
Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy and the event organiser's terms.
5a. QR Code Payments
Where an event organiser offers QR Code as a payment method, all payments are made directly between the buyer and the event organiser. Tickgate does not collect, process, hold, or receive any funds in connection with QR Code transactions. The same applies where you pay the organiser in cash, and everything in this clause applies to it too.
Tickgate acts solely as a platform tool in these transactions and bears no responsibility for:
- Payment disputes, failed transfers, or overpayments
- Refunds or chargebacks — these must be arranged directly with the organiser
- The authenticity or legitimacy of the organiser's payment QR code
- Any loss arising from paying an unauthorised or fraudulent QR code
You are responsible for verifying the event organiser's identity and the validity of their QR code before making payment.
6. Event Organisers
Event organisers are solely responsible for their events, including event details, venue, ticket pricing, and refund policies. Tickgate acts as a platform and is not responsible for the organisation, cancellation, or modification of events. Organisers who use QR Code payments are fully responsible for receiving, recording, and reconciling all payments made to them through that method.
If you sell tickets through the Platform, the Organisation Terms of Service also apply to you, and set out the service fee, how and when you are paid out, and who bears a refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and materials on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Tickgate. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use Platform content without our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tickgate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including issues relating to events themselves.
Tickgate is a ticketing platform, not an event co-organiser: we do not run, host, or take part in the events listed on it. We are not a bank or a licensed financial institution, and card and bank transfers are carried out by our payment providers — but for online payments we do collect what you pay, on the organiser's behalf, as clause 5 sets out.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with an order does not exceed what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
